C. Robin Nottingham, PhD. has been practicing psychology for over 16
years. She was licensed originally in
the state of North Carolina where she attended Duke University Counseling and
Psychological Center as an intern. After completing her internship, she held a
pre and post doctoral fellowship at Duke University Medical Center Occupational
Mental Health program. She is currently licensed in the state of Virginia as a
licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Nottingham works extensively with adults,
adolescents, individuals and couples.
She has led groups on women’s issues, occupational concerns, and works
with clients who present with multicultural challenges (e.g. ethnic issues,
spiritual matters, and environmental influences). Many of her patients are treated for common
psychological difficulties such as stress, anxiety, and depression. She also
devotes a great deal of her practice to marital and relationship issues Dr.
Nottingham has been in private practice for over fifteen years. During a portion of that time (i.e. five
years) she held a position as a partner for a large practice in Norfolk,
Va. Currently she practices at the
Center for Personal Growth and Change where she serves as the founder and a
Eva Sloan, L.C.S.W. has thirty-five years experience in
providing mental health services. She
holds licensures as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Registered
Nurse. She also holds a Doctorate of
Divinity degree, and is board certified as a Christian Counselor. Helping others find joy, happiness, and peace
in their lives is her passion. She
believes that if one puts forth the effort; they can grow personally and will
change. Dr. Sloan’s specialty areas include: Christian counseling; spiritual
issues grief issues; pre-marital/marital; family issues; anger management;
eating disorders; anxiety; phobias; PTSD issues; gay/lesbian issues; severe
mental illness(schizophrenia, bipolar, etc.); ADD/ADHD.
Angela Jones, Psy.D. realized during an Introduction to Psychology class as a high school
junior that psychology was her first love. As a senior, she excelled in Honors
Psychology and gained a deeper understanding of the discipline. Dr. Jones felt
a genuine passion and desire for knowledge and knew she found her calling. Her
dream has been actualized. Currently, Dr. Jones has more than 15 years of experience
in assessments and therapy. She holds 3 degrees and 12 years of collegiate
education, clinical practice, research, and teaching experience in the field. Dr. Jones was trained as a generalist with a specialty
in family therapy and is able to treat a wide range of individual, couple, and
family issues. Her therapeutic approach is influenced by cognitive
behavioral, interpersonal, and systemic orientations. Dr. Jones utilizes
general and specialized techniques to maximize her client's goals.
Richard C. Berry, L.C.S.W. has provided 17 years of clinical services to clients with substance abuse disorders, and co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. He provides culturally sensitive, supportive, individual and/or family psychotherapy.
Cynthia Skeete, LPC, NCC, CGRS has over 12 years of experience in the mental health profession. She earned a Master's Degree in Community Counselling from Regent University, Virginia Beach. Cynthia has worked at several mental health facilities in the Hampton Roads area providing mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, children, adults, and families, as well as military service members and their families. She facilitated psycho-educational groups, such as; Children and Divorce, Anger Management, and Building Self-Esteem. Additionally, Cynthia has taught psychology courses at the university level with overwhelming success. Her specialty areas include: depression, anxiety, stress management, grief and loss, self-esteem, anger management, phobias, ADD/ADHD, PTSD, and marital issues. She uses an eclectic array of therapeutic techniques to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals and make changes to improve their lives, promoting personal growth.
